4: field operations of unit 67
It was our first day out in the
field, or our first operation. We received a quick briefing of the operation’s
requirement, which was to eliminate all of the infected victims in the
vicinity. We had a special underground passageway to the area, which we used to
get there.
“Okay guys, ready? Remember to keep
in communication, especially you, Lienn. I hardly hear a word from you.” Our unit
leader, Darren, told us before the start of the operation.
“Yea sure,” I replied. With that, we
headed out for our first mission. It was fairly easy and there were lesser
targets than we had expected and we were able to clear the area swiftly. The
infected victims weren’t very challenging to take down either. The operation
was completed within an hour and we gathered back.
“Good job guys,” Darren said,
smiling.
